The love for Venice
Yet Venice is also fragile. The city lives in harmony with the rhythm of the lagoon, and it is this rhythm that I sought to capture with my first interactive e-book. Today, Torcello has only a handful of residents, yet it preserves an atmosphere that is both calming and inspiring. Here, you can leave behind the noise of the city and discover a side of Venice known to only a few travelers. While others crowd the narrow streets of San Marco, you often stand alone in front of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta on Torcello, listening to the profound silence.
For me, it was clear: if I were to begin the series “Venice in the Rhythm of the Lagoon”, it would start with Torcello. This island embodies exactly what I want to convey with my books – the connection between history, nature, and a rhythm of life that encourages us to pause and reflect.
